Two men, an Emirati national and an Indian expat, succumbed to fatal injuries they received in two separate road accidents in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah on Saturday.
Sources said the 21-year-old Emirati youth was killed in a traffic accident in Al Sawan area close to RAK city on Saturday morning.
"He was buried on the same day after the Asr prayers."
An Indian biker was also killed in another accident which took place at Shaam area; 40km from RAK city at 12.30pm, they added.
"The victim, who was speeding, lost control of his motorbike and rammed into the side pavement.
He then fell down and hit his head on the road, they added.
"The victim, who was bleeding from his head, was rushed to Saqr hospital for treatment and medical care, but he could not make it and was declared dead shortly."
Meanwhile, the roads of the emirate saw two run-over accidents on Friday.
"One received minor injuries while the second was moderately injured."
Investigations are underway to identify the reasons behind these mishaps.
"All drivers are urged to strictly observe traffic rules and avoid speeding which has been blamed for so many deadly accidents."
