Sharjah medical faculties visited
SHARJAH - Prof Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General, and Abdulla bin Souqat, Executive Director of the Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktowm Award for Medical Sciences, paid a visit to the Medical Faculties, Sharjah University.
The main aim of the visit was to review the progress achieved on the research papers by doctors who recently received research support grants from the Award, and the time left to finalise their papers.
The meeting, attended by Prof Hossam Hamdy, Vice Chancellor, Medical and Health Sciences Colleges, Sharjah University, discussed ways of cooperation between the Award and Centre for Arab Genomic Studies, and College of Medicine, in the field of Continuing Medical Education, particularly master and Ph.D. programs.
During the visit, Prof Hamdy accompanied the Award’s officials in a tour at University Hospital Sharjah, Dental Hospital and Sharjah Institute for Medical Research.
