New VC for UAEU
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, in his capacity as the Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), issued an ordinance assigning Dr Ali Rashid Abdullah Al Nuaimi as Vice-Chancellor of the university.
Dr Al Nuaimi holds BA and MA degrees from the Portland State University (PSU) of the USA and completed his doctoral studies at the University of Imam Muhammad bin Saud, Saudi Arabia.
He has adorned several senior academic and scientific positions at the UAEU, where he joined in 1991 as a member of the Faculty of Education. In 2006, he was appointed an adviser to the Minister of Education and is member of many committees including the Shaikh Zayed Book Award.
Dr Al Nuaimi is one of the Emirati academics known for his competence, experience and dedication to work.
