IT quiz in Dubai
Put your quizzing caps on; the third edition of the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), IT Quiz is here.
The inter-school IT Quiz will be held on April 27 at the Shaikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai.
TCS IT Wiz, the biggest inter-school IT Quiz programme in India, has been running for the last 12 years. As the world’s leading IT firm, TCS plays an important role in building awareness on technology and providing a window to the world of Information Technology among young students.
Varun Kapur, Head of Middle East, Africa and Mediterranean operations of TCS said: “It’s always been exciting to see the sheer joy of learning and competition amongst youngsters in a fun and out of classroom experience and we look forward to continuing this wonderful journey this year.”
The highlight of the TCS IT Wiz 2012 was the launch of the UAE’s first animation-based quiz software created by Quizmaster Pickbrain and his team. The regional finals this year will be a unique game-based format, driven by special software. The software has been a huge hit across the country and students have been writing about it extensively on their blogs and social medium forums.
The event targets students studying in classes 8 to 12. Multiple teams of two members, each will be allowed from each school.
There will be no entry fee and it is open to students from all the emirates. Students can either email their entries through their respective institutions to anand.sitaraman@tcs.com. (mobile: 055410 8378) or register online at www.tcsitwiz.com on or before April 26.
