Worker falls to death from RAK mountain
An Asian man has died after losing his footing while working on top of a Ras Al Khaimah mountain.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police Air Wing picked up the body of the man, who apparently slipped from a rock at the top of the mountain while carrying out his job. The police said the man died on the spot due to severe injuries to his skull.
Director of Al Rams police station Colonel Suliman Mohammed Al Kaizi said his station was informed about the death and a team was immediately dispatched to the accident site. The police called for the assistance of the Air Wing, which discovered the man and lifted the body with the help of local people. The case has been referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations.
Col. Al Kaizi urged tourists, residents and those who work on the mountain to take proper safety precautions to avoid accidents, which could cause death or permanent disability.
