“It was the police who ransacked the apartment, and at that time I was remanded in police custody in Fujairah,” the defendant , H.S. said, adding that: “I have never seen this officer before”. The judge ordered him to keep quiet, and assured him he would listen to his testimony after the testimonies of witnesses.

His accomplice in the case, the girlfriend, stood up when the officer was spelling out his testimony before the judge, and later the judge asked her to sit down after he saw she had a baby with her.

The hearing, however was adjourned until January 20, to listen to a prosecution witness, who was absent at the hearing for the third time. — salah@khaleejtimes.com
