Pakistan eased to their victory target of 179 with 18 balls remaining in the series decider
Colonel Jihad Sahoh, Director of Investigation and Search Department at Sharjah Police said that officers were deployed to an apartment in Al Khan area after receiving a call from a neighbour about a couple fighting. Upon reaching the residential tower, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers found a man bleeding excessively and immediately rushed him to hospital. Blood stains were identified inside and outside the block. The victim informed the police that his girlfriend stabbed him during a row, before fleeing the scene.
Police later located the woman, 32, in a hotel in a neighboring emirate and arrested her. During interrogation, she said that she and another compatriot man — the victim’s friend — were arguing with the victim, claiming that he stabbed her boyfriend then ran away.
The woman was referred to the concerned police station and the police have launched a search to arrest the second man.
Col. Sahoh lauded the quick response of CID officers for saving the life of the bleeding man.
