They were aged 15 and 18.

An 18-year-old friend of the girls had died soon after the accident before she could be taken to the hospital.

Their 32-year-old mother, Tagreed Ali, who was driving the four-wheel drive at the time of the accident, is still in the hospital with fractures.

The accident took place when Tagreed Ali was driving her daughters and their friends, 10 of them in all aged between 10 and 18, in their four-wheel-drive from a shopping centre to the Downtown area. She lost control over the vehicle which suddenly veered off the road and ploughed into the road median and crashed into a roadside hill. All 11 passengers inside the vehicle sustained serious to moderate wounds and fractures.
