The Court of First Instance cleared the victim’s friend, a Pakistani driver, MZ, of helping and abetting in the crimes.

Khaleej TimesThe convict, a 28-year-old Pakistani identified as AS and sentenced yesterday on charges of rape and molestation, is believed to have taken photos of the victim as she lay naked on the ground crying, shivering and feeling helpless.

According to prosecution records, MZ brought the victim to the office in the evening of that day and then allowed AS access to the room she was in.

AS barged into the room, locked the door and took the victim by force to a corner where he stripped her clothes off and raped her.

The victim, a 39-year-old working Filipina, told the prosecutor that she was married but separated from her husband.

One day in February she asked her friend, MZ, for a sum of money and he promised to take her to someone who could lend her some cash.

He then took her to a company in Al Quoz.

AS locked the door after MZ walked out and cornered the complainant.

He undressed her by force and raped her. After taking nude photos of her, he dropped her home.

A Filipina woman, a 33-year-old secretary, said in the investigation that she saw the complainant later in the evening, crying and feeling scared.

She then knew that the complainant had been raped.

According to the Criminal Lab report of the Criminal Evidence Department, the DNA of the semen sample lifted from the woman matched with AS’s.

The electronic evidence included photos found in AS’s mobile phone showing a nude woman crying and trying to cover her face with her clothes.
