Dubai - The Dubai Police have arrested a Syrian motorist for running over a Filipina pedestrian in Al Maktoum area and fleeing. The police said they were notified about the fatal accident on Monday.
The woman, who was in her twenties, was on her way back home after work when the accident took place.
There were no witnesses to the accidents. A police team found a car that had blood traces and a dent on its fender in Al Quoz. Its driver was summoned, who admitted to speeding but claimed he was not aware that he hit the woman.
