The court ordered that the 50-year-old worker be deported after serving his 25-year prison term. The verdict is subject to appeal within 15 days at the Court of Appeal.

He was also charged with using narcotics. The worker was arrested in September 2010 by the Anti-Narcotics officers of the Dubai Police.

They were tipped off that he had a big quantity of hashish hidden in a warehouse in Muraqqabat. The contraband was seized in a raid.
