Forensic and DNA tests carried out by the General Department of Criminology and Forensic Evidence have confirmed that the body discovered by the Oman police was of another, yet unidentified man. and not of the missing UAE national.

Brigadier Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri said the search for the missing UAE national, Naseer Ali Nasser would continue.

The Dubai Police have detained two young men, with criminal records, and who were with Nasser when his family last saw him.

The duo told the police that they had left their compatriot in a remote region of Dubai, but could not lead the police to the exact spot as they were too drunk to remember.

The police learnt that they had travelled with Nasser to Ajman, Al Dhaid and Al Munai among other places.

The police and Naseer’s family are urging the public to contact the authorities if they have any information on the missing man who suffers from diabetes.

Al Mansouri said the two friends of the missing man were still under arrest and they were being questioned for more information which could help locate Nasser. He said the two suspects would be kept in police custody till they find the missing man.
