Radisson Blu Hotel-Muscat announces Safehotels certification

Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Safehotels Certificate Level accordance with The Global Hotel Security Standard of Safehotels Alliance AB.

Safehotels certification independently verifies the safety and security best practice in hotel and meeting venues with regards to the hotel facilities and safety services process and procedure, training management, security equipment, fire equipment, fire procedures and training risk prevention and crisis recovery management.

"It is a great achievement to attain this type of certification as the safety and security of our guest are the core priority in our hotel. This certification is also a significant milestone in our continual efforts to improve and reflects our consistent and best practice standards in global hotel safety and security", said Mohamad Yassine, general manager Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat.

In 2014, the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group signed an agreement with Safehotels, a globally recognized security consultancy. The agreement made Carlson Rezidor the first major international hotel group using the acclaimed independent certification programme to benefits guests, employees and owners. To ensure all criteria are met, Carlson Rezidor has work closely with Safehotels to align the expectations and self-assessment programme with the Safehotels standards.

"Safehotels certification confirms that the hotel focuses on key elements of guest security relating to personal property and has appropriate response plans if ever there is an accident or any kind of emergency. The certificate shows the hotel is sincere in its guest's personal well-being. Being independently audited and certified yearly by Safehotels strengthen the value of that communication immensely.
