Al Ain Zoo has temporarily suspended all its events and experiences as part of precautionary measures to limit the spread of Covid-19. It has also reduced its operating hours, with new timings set at 10am to 6pm.
Essential services — such as transportation and food and beverage outlets — will remain available during this period, the zoo said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Guests can still enjoy their day at Al Ain Zoo; visiting all the exhibits and touring Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre. Some services are still available to all guests. These include shuttle and renting mountain bikes. The latest booking will be scheduled at 5pm with evacuation beginning at 5.30pm, while Al Ain Safari will suspend activities, we invite the public to follow the updates about the zoo before their visit through our social media platforms and website,” said Omar Mohammed Al Ameri, director of operations at Al Ain Zoo.
Visitors who buy their tickets online get a 10 per cent discount.
Al Ain Zoo has always been committed to protecting the health and safety of guests and members of staff, as well as the 4,000 animals it is home to.
