Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif expecting second baby

The couple are already parents to a son Taimur

Kareena Kapoor and her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, made an announcement on Wednesday mentioning a new addition to their family.

"We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family !! Thank you to all our well wishers for all their love and support. -Saif and Kareena," said the announcement issued on Wednesday afternoon by the star couple through their office.

The Bollywood couple, who tied the knot on October 16, 2012, have one son, Taimur, born on December 20, 2016. Saif has two children from his earlier marriage to Amrita Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Today is Sara's 25th birthday.

When questioned about having more kids on a chat show in 2018, Kareena reportedly given a three-word reply - 'After two years'.  Looks like she's lived up to her promise!

Kareena's father, veteran actor Randhir Kapoor, had earlier told The Times of India that the couple hadn't told him about it (another baby) yet, saying he was hearing the news for the first time. He also added, "I hope it's true and if so, I would be very happy. Doh bachche toh hone chahiye (There should be two kids) to give each other company."
The actress has been keeping herself busy during the lockdown by posting images on her Instagram. She had recently posted pictures from a shoot done at home wherein she was photographed by Saif Ali Khan at their residence.
