The Indian pavilion witnessed a surge in its participation at the Gitex Technology Week on Sunday. Vipul, Consul-General of India, who inaugurated the pavilion, said: "Both India and UAE have seen a surge in innovation, startups, AI and robotics, which have benefitted the new entrepreneurs and a common dialogue between two nations will only help businesses on both sides."
Events like Gitex Technology Week have proved to be extremely beneficial to the Indian exporters. "Every year India's participation has only increased. This year we see a notable surge in startups and adoption of blockchain technology," added Vipul.
India's Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), which is mandated to promote exports of electronics, telecom, computer software and IT-enabled services, has participated in Gitex Technology Week this year in a big way. More than 70 Indian companies are participating in the technology exhibition.
"The ESC has been instrumental in boosting the exports in the Gulf region and has proved to be a solid platform for Indian exporters," said Kamal Vachani, regional director for Middle East, ESC.
