Legendary motorcycle company Royal Enfield is set to expand its operations to other emirates after having tasted phenomenal success in Dubai, said Rudratej Singh, president of Royal Enfield.

"What we observed at our Al Quoz outlet is that we received a diverse customer profile over the year, both men and women wanting to enjoy the experience of riding a bike. We are currently in talks with corporates who are interested to gift Royal Enfield bikes to their employees," said Singh.

The company opened its first exclusive store in Dubai a year ago and is now tapping various avenues to bring experience centres through popular malls in the emirate.

"The first year of its local presence has been highly successful for the brand, which welcomed a phenomenal response from motorcycle enthusiasts in the UAE. Dubai has become a hub for our Middle East clientele," added Singh.

The brand is expanding globally, making forays into new markets, including two exclusive stores in Bogota and Medellin in Colombia, Indonesia and Thailand. It recently also opened its second exclusive store in London and two exclusive stores in Paris and Madrid.

Royal Enfield has opened two new technology centres in Chennai, India, and Leicester, UK. The UK tech centre has a team of over 50 engineers working on Royal Enfield's future product line-up. It has also announced its third upcoming manufacturing facility at Vallam Vadagal in Tamil Nadu, which will contribute to a combined capacity of 900,000 motorcycles by 2018.

With 50 per cent growth year on year, Royal Enfield has become the leading player in the global mid-size motorcycle market.  RK Globals FZE was appointed as the distributor for Royal Enfield in the UAE in 2015. The company was established in 2004 as a distributor and retailer of automobiles and auto components.
