Careers UAE 2016 - UAE's leading recruitment and training exhibition for UAE nationals - which runs until Wednesday May 18 at Dubai World Trade Centre, or DWTC  - was formally inaugurated on Monday by Shaikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. 
The 16th edition of the event has attracted more than 110 public and private sector exhibitors from 20-plus industries, with organiser DWTC projecting a three-day footfall of thousands of Emirati graduates and job-seekers mining employment avenues and internship opportunities in the automotive, aviation, banking, construction, energy, oil and gas, telecoms, healthcare and real-estate sectors, amongst others.

Careers UAE is a dedicated recruitment and training platform for talented UAE nationals to meet and network with recruiters and hiring managers from leading multinational and UAE-based companies.
"Careers UAE is a vital platform for aspiring Emirati job-seekers to pursue thousands of diverse opportunities that will empower the country's youth, build a sustainable future and drive the UAE's growth and development," said Asma Al Sharif, Director, Exhibitions and Events, DWTC. "The fair provides local talent with opportunities to advance careers, as well as discover, learn, train and network with leading brands in more than 20 industries."
Careers UAE 2016 features organisations of all sectors and sizes highlighting individual recruitment positions or corporate Emiratisation programmes. Some of the leading companies participating in this year's fair include Emirates Group, Al Habtoor Group, Dubai Customs and Pepsi-Cola Industries.
The first day of the three-day fair featured a host of interactive sessions and activities including The Talent Hunt organised by InternsME, the UAE's largest internship job site. The two-day feature allows candidates to schedule face-to-face time with hiring managers from leading UAE companies in a speed interview format. 
Also at Careers UAE, Bayt.com - the online recruitment portal - returns to the fair for the fourth consecutive year. Bayt.com will stage its Annual Thought Leader Event on Wednesday May 18, with sessions tackling pressing topics such as whether employers, educational institutions and UAE professionals are aligned to meet the demands of the new economy. Panellists at the event will include Mohammed Omar Al Qedrah, director of Recruitment and HC Services Human Capital, DP World; Essa El Mulla; Chief, National Workforce Development, Emirates Nationals Development Programme (ENDP); Mohamed Alsaabri, senior director, National Development Human Capital & Administration, du; and Professor Abhilasha Singh, Dean, College of Education, American University in the Emirates. - business@khaleejtimes.com
