AFTER A LONG gap, Mammootty is teaming up with director Kamal. The duo had delivered several memorable films in the past including Azhagiya Ravanan and Mazhayethum Munpe. This time, however, the script is by PS Rafeeq, credited with the script and dialogues of Amen.

Mammootty is now gearing up for the much-awaited Gangster, which releases shortly, and acting in Munnariyippu, directed by cinematographer Venu. He plays a veteran journalist in the film, which is said to be taking a serious look at the shifts in media and journalism.

Kamal teams up with Mammootty after his critically and commercially acclaimed Celluloid, and the rather disastrous Nadan. For movie lovers, this could be the true Mammootty treat that they have been missing of late.
