Shaikha Manal Bint Mohammed highlighted the importance of achieving the objectives of the establishment. Assuring the members of her confidence in their ability to live up to the trust placed in them by Dubai’s leadership, she said it was a privilege to be part of a pioneering initiative that aims to enhance the leadership capacities of UAE women and highlight their active role in public life.
She said the organisation would play an advisory role to the government of Dubai, providing legislative leaders with recommendations on laws that will benefit women and offering relevant support to champion the issues.
Conducting research studies, endorsing local, regional and international events, participating in women-oriented programmes and building relationships with organisations that share a similar vision are on the organisation’s agenda.
The Dubai Establishment for Women Development was recently launched following the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
