Two held on swindling charges
AJMAN — In a joint operation, CID officers from Ajman and Sharjah yesterday arrested two Nigerians on the charges of swindling people.
The two alleged conmen had convinced an Arab that a Nigerian national had died leaving behind great wealth which they needed to transfer to an account in the UAE.
Brig. Sultan Al Nuaimi, Deputy Director of Ajman Police, said the Ajman Police launched an investigation in coordination with Sharjah Police to track down the conmen. The joint CID team laid a trap and arrested the duo in Sharjah.
