Talks held to boost ties with Hungary

BUDAPEST — Visiting acting under-secretary of the UAE Foreign Mnistry, Dr Tariq Al Haidan, reviewed with Laszlo Varkonyi, state secretary of Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ways of enhancing bilateral friendly relations and latest development in the middle east region.

During the meeting, Al Haidan conveyed the best wishes of Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, to his Hungarian counterpart Kinga Goncz.

Al Haidan is visiting Hungary heading a top UAE delegation which held talks with senior officials of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Al Haidan assured them of the UAE’s firm desire to further develop trade and economic relations with the European country.

”A draft agreement for economic, trade and technical cooperation is on the anvil,” he said, pointing out to huge investment pumped by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority into the Hungarian economy.
