Ramadan Delights: Tabat Tamer - Sesame seed date balls

Tabat Tamer

Serves: 8-10

Ingredients

1 kg all-purpose flour

100 gm milk powder

500 gm ghee

2 cups (approx.) cold water

200 gm sugar

500 gm date paste

300 gm white sesame seeds

Method

Mix flour with milk powder and ghee until you get a soft texture dough.

Add the cold water and the sugar and mix well.

Take a little dough, put some dates paste in it and seal.

Roll it in the shape of a ball and cover in sesame seeds. Repeat for the rest.

Roast in the oven at 250°C for 20 minutes.
