Pakistani passport now heads up two spots enabling the country's passport holders visa-free access to 33 countries. However, the jump up the rankings is better than only four other countries: Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.
While Sri Lanka is on the 95th spot, India is on joint 79th spot alongside Benin, Morocco, Mongolia and Armenia and Bangladesh on 97th with access to visa-free/visa-on-arrival to 41 countries. The US and the UK passports slipped down at joint sixth place, with access to 185 destinations. While China's continued to climb up the ranking list sitting on 69th spot, with access to 74 countries around the world.

Japanese passport was grabbed the top spot on index for the second year running, offering citizens visa-free access to 190 destinations. Singapore continues to hold 2nd spot, along with South Korea, which moved up from 3rd place, with citizens able to access 189 destinations.

The Henley Passport Index is based on data from the International Air Transport Association which maintains the world's largest and database of travel information. The index is updated by extensive, ongoing research by the Henley & Partners Research Department.
