The concept behind the exclusive delivery to Sri Lanka came about after Haneez, who is a long-term UAE resident, identified the growing need for a reliable courier to safely send parcels and gifts to family, friends and loved ones back home at an affordable cost.
"I am a Sri Lankan, born and raised in the UAE. As someone who has lived here for the last 31 years with my family, we understand that people look for dependable channels to send some of their treasured items, or even send a present to someone for an occasion. So, Embassy Cargo was set up to focus on just that," said Afzal, who is the company's CEO.
Offering a one-way channel, i.e., from the UAE to Sri Lanka, Embassy Cargo maintains a strong presence in the country's capital Colombo. Soon, growing demands led to the set-up of a base in other cities, namely Kandy and Batticaloa. Once the packages land in Sri Lanka, they make their way to the final destination via the closest Embassy Cargo warehouse. The receivers can collect the items from that point.
Trust is central to the company's motto, which is why it enjoys a loyalty from customers. "There is a lot of competition in this field. However, many tend to open up shop, operate for a year or two, then disappear from the market. This can leave many without a reliable route to send their belongings back home," said Afzal.
In this regard, Embassy Cargo is an outstanding company, with a reputable service that continues to gain loyal customers.
"Our company has been running the longest in this particular business. Trust is very important for us. Customers can trust each member on the team and our company. We also handle each request with the utmost care, ensuring that packages reach their intended destination in the best form possible. The second thing that makes us attractive is our prices. Our services are offered at the lowest, competitive rates in this field," he said, adding that the organisation extends special assistance to blue-collared workers who are unable to afford shipping rates.
Embassy Cargo also specialises in transporting household belongings for those moving back to Sri Lanka. "We understand that the UAE has a transient community. Once expatriates reach their end of service, they have to migrate back home," he said.
Embassy Cargo also offers packing services as well as the supplies necessary to secure and protect items during cross-country transportation.
"Our team will collect items straight from your doorstep. If needed, we have boxes of various sizes ready available that we can drop off, then collect it again once ready," Afzal concluded.
