Dubai – Medeor 24x7 Hospital, Dubai has introduced the Medeor Ramadan Health MAJLIS to keep a watch on your health while you fast. The concept of a Ramadan majlis in the UAE is not new, with tents a common sight across the country. But for the first time in UAE, a health majlis is being done by a hospital.
Located at the front of the Medeor 24x7 Hospital, Dubai, the Ramadan Health Majlis is operational from June 19 till the end of Ramadan from 10am to 10pm. The tent is fully equipped with all amenities and visitors can avail of consultations with a general practitioner, specialists, dietician and physiotherapist free of charge.
Counters are available for people to do a primary check-up including blood pressure, blood sugar levels and BMI. Specialist doctors will also be on hand to answer any queries and concerns a person may have.
Qur’an reading competitions for kids and adults will be conducted and the majlis has organized painting competitions which will keep kids engaged while the parents consult the doctor and avail free checkups.
Dr Shajir Gaffar, CEO of VPS Healthcare for Dubai and the Northern Emirates said: “We decided to contribute to the community through a health Majlis. Most people will not avail of these simple check-ups which can help detect a more serious health problem due to financial constraints and lack of time.”
