Dh100 million for those affected by road work

SHARJAH — Around 225 owners of commercial and residential buildings in Sharjah whose properties have been affected by the ongoing infrastructure development work in various parts of the emirate, will receive full compensation from the Town Planning and Survey Department (DTPS).

The department will soon begin distributing the Dh100 million granted yesterday by His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to the nationals and expatriates whose properties have been affected by the development work.

Speaking to Khalee Times, Eng. Salah bin Butti, Director General of DTPS, hailed the gesture of Shaikh Sultan, saying this will help the DTPS to carry out the infrastruct uredevelopment projects.

Salem Al Suwaidi, Head of the Financial and Compensations Section said the directorate’s Planning Administration Department had carried out a comprehensive survey to identify the affected buildings in various areas in Sharjah.
