Dar Al Ber Society has announced a donation of Dh1 million towards relief activities for the flood victims in the state of Kerala in India, affirming its active and increased participation in the state's relief activities. This initiative affirms the UAE's strong humanitarian policies, which include providing support to the needy, as well as relief to those affected by natural and civil disasters around the world.
Dar Al Ber Society expressed its sincere gratitude to the vision of the UAE leadership, represented by The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces
A national level emergency committee headed by the UAE Red Crescent Society and Humanitarian Societies in the UAE has been launched to provide relief to the flood victims ahead of Eid Al Adha. The Dar Al Ber Society also welcomes donations from the public through all its branches in the UAE, including Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, as well as through its delegates in shopping malls.
Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board, said: "Dar Al Ber has launched its direct field operations to raise funds and aid for the Indian State as part of the UAE Humanitarian Relief Campaign launched by the UAE under the guidance and leadership of the UAE Red Crescent Authority.
The aim of the emergency relief campaign is to reduce the impact of human and material losses incurred in the past few days through providing food, essentials and livelihood.
