Speaking at a seminar on ‘The value of the degrees recognised by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research UAE and its global acceptance,’ Professor Mohamed Badr E. Aboul-Ela, director of CAA, asked students to check if universities are accredited before they apply.

"Any institute that is not licensed by the ministry will not be recognised," he clearly stated. "Outside the free zone, it is compulsory for an institute to be licensed, while inside the free zone, it is up to the university to approach the ministry," he said.
