ATM cards for beneficiaries
DUBAI — About 3,000 beneficiaries receive their social security aid through special ATM cards. These cards can also be used for making payments at commercial outlets, Al Shamsi said, adding that the ministry was in the process of making this service available to all beneficiaries.
The initiative to replace the earlier system with ATM cards is being implemented in three phases, with the first phase covering divorced women, unmarried women, married students and orphans. A majority of beneficiaries in this category have received the ATM cards.
