Since the bank was established in 1997, ADIB has had a distinguished track record providing a range of specialist products and services to UAE-based Indians. In recent years, the bank has developed an award-winning digital platform, led by its mobile app, allowing its growing customer base to conduct banking transactions in a highly convenient and effective manner. Whether it's transferring money back to India, managing spending on covered cards, or saving for an overseas property purchase, ADIB has developed a dedicated offering, delivered with a high-personalised service, to support the diverse financial requirements of modern Indian expats.
For many Indians working in the UAE, buying a property in their home country is an aspiration that is becoming ever more attractive due to the dirham's appreciation against the Indian Rupee in recent years. ADIB has been committed to providing Indians living and working in the UAE with financing products at competitive rates and offers up to the equivalent of Dh 1 million for any property, in any city, by any builder in India.
In addition, in 2016, ADIB launched the Spice Card to complement its tailored product offerings to Indians in the UAE. The card was based on research that examined the spending habits and financial requirements of UAE-based Indians, which found that they centre on common characteristics and that they could make significant savings if provided with relevant discounts.
This was compounded by the fact that while UAE banking products for Indians to use in their home country existed, there were a dearth of products specifically tailored for them to benefit from in the UAE. As a bank which prioritises the needs of customers, ADIB designed the Spice Card following consultation and evaluation of what offers would best suit the Indian community in the UAE. The card allows customers to save more money with a range of competitive offers and discounts, across retail, entertainment and utility payments.
ADIB continues to focus on serving Indian families in the UAE. The bank's range of Etisalat covered cards allows customers to redeem points through spending, which can be converted into Etisalat data or talk time for messaging and international calls to friends and family in India. Meanwhile, the bank's premier wire transfer service enables UAE residents to make cross-border remittance transactions, so that loved ones can receive money securely and efficiently. For travel-focused Indians, ADIB also became the first bank to partner with Booking.com on Visa Signature and Visa Infinite cards, which offers value-added benefits, including travel discounts, cashback on dining, complimentary concierge service, unlimited lounge access and unique privileges at the Visa Luxury Hotel Collection.
For frequent flyers, including travelers between the subcontinent and the UAE, ADIB partnered with Etihad to create a Visa card that allows customers to redeem Etihad Guest Miles on more than 3,000 routes and thousands of products on the Etihad Guest online Reward Shop.
With a comprehensive range of tailored products and online, mobile and phone banking services, providing customers with seamless digital access to their accounts 24 hours a day,  ADIB is well-positioned to provide Indian businesses and families  with a high-quality, modern banking offering that can truly cater to their distinctive banking needs and aspirations.
