The online retailer, which is headquartered in Singapore, has said it has around 108 million monthly active users in the 27-nation EU
First announced in July, four toll gates have become operational in the Capital from October 15, but will remain free of charge until January 1, 2020.
Authorities said user accounts were created automatically for Abu Dhabi-registered vehicles, and vehicles registered in the other emirates, including Dubai, were required to register on Department of Transport - Abu Dhabi (DoT) website.
Several motorists have posted their complaints on Khaleej Times webpage and social media accounts. The complained about sign-up glitches for vehicles registered outside Abu Dhabi. Many said that they were unable to create an account.
KT reader Fakhar Zaman posted his sentiments: "First of all, please fix the website issue. We are unable to register a Dubai vehicle."
Another KT reader, Aniq Ahmad, also faced the same issue while Fakhar Zaman said he called the DoT customer service several times but was not able to successfully resolve his problem. A customer service agent told him that the issue will be fixed soon.
