4 Emiratis die after falling in manhole
Civil Defence officials during the operation to recover the bodies of four Emiratis who died of suffocation after falling into a manhole in Fujairah.

Four members of an Emirati family were killed after they fell into a sewage manhole in the compound of their house in Fujairah on Saturday morning.
After a 50-year-old man fell into the manhole, his two sons and son-in-law tried to rescue him, but they fell in as well. All four died due to suffocation, the police said.
Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of the Fujairah Police, said the incident was reported at 10am in the Roll Dedna area of Dibba Fujairah.
The father has been identified as Saeed Abdullah Rashid Al Suraidi, while his two sons were Ahmed Saeed (24) and Abdul Aziz (23). The son-in-law has been identified as Mohammed Saeed Masoud (36).
Brig Al Kaabi said Fujairah Civil Defence officials recovered the four bodies from the manhole. In the process, an official sustained minor injuries. The bodies have been shifted to the Dibba Fujairah Hospital. - salah@khaleejtimes.com
