The Global Art Forum 2018 will focus on the power, paranoia and potentials of automation. Entitled "I Am Not a Robot", the 12th edition of the transdisciplinary summit will be programmed by Commissioner Shumon Basar, with Chief Operating Officer and Futurist-in-Chief of the Dubai Future Foundation Noah Raford, and Curator of Digital Culture and Design Collection at the MAK, Vienna, Marlies Wirth, as Co-Directors.

In5 Design, Dubai Design District
in5 will hold a free open studio offering the public the opportunity to meet the artists, see their work in progress and learn more about their practice by engaging with them directly. Timings: 12pm - 4.30pm

ZOHRA OPOKU: From Paper to Fabric - Introduction to Screen-Printing | March 11
With a keen and disciplined eye for textile and design, Zohra employs installation, sculpture and photography at the helm of her practice. During this free workshop, participants will work with Zohra on their own textiles, exploring her process of screen-printing on to fabric.

JENNIFER IPEKEL: Languages of Flowers. A Botanical Workshop | March 11
During this workshop, participants will be asked to think about time, exploring the secret language of nature in an animalistic perspective.

Art Dubai Modern Symposium | March 19, 21 and 22
Madinat Jumeirah
A series of talks and presentations focused on the life, work and cultural impact of 20th century masters from the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. Renowned curators, scholars and patrons will lead the sessions that delve into the styles, influences and practices of artists whose work contributes to the history of art produced in the 20th century.
