Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department in California have shared a tweet that shows a fake driver’s licence with Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte’s picture on it.
According to the Filipino Times, police arrested the owner of the fake ID after officers quickly recognised the Philippine president’s photograph.
“Vice officers recognized the picture used on a fake ID, to be that of the President of the Philippines,” the tweet from LAPD said.
“Good thing our Officers patrol Historic Filipino Town and are up to speed. Nice try,” it added.
The Californian city of Los Angeles is home to one of the largest Filipino populations in the United States.
