‘Ramadan Bazaar’ opens at Bahrain Financial Harbour

Minister of Social Development Faeqa Al Saleh recently inaugurated “Ramadan Bazaar” which was organised by the family and children development department in co-operation with Bahrain Financial Harbour Holding Company at the Harbour mall. 

Senior officials from both sides attended the bazaar. The minister lauded the quality of products offered for sale at the bazaar. 

Organised annually, the event offers an opportunity for families to interact with each other during the holy month of Ramadan.

The Ramadsn bazaar offers a vast array of handmade products for sale from Jalabiyas, traditional sweets to different gift items.

ASRY to build new landing craft

ASRY, the leading ship and rig repair yard in the Arabian Gulf, has signed an agreement with the Bahrain Coast Guard to design and construct a new landing craft for transporting vehicles, potable water and fuel.

The craft will be delivered in 2016. The contract, worth approximately $2.8 milllion, marks ASRY’s first contract since launching the new construction and engineering division, which is tasked with generating the new construction programme at the yard.

Batelco sponsors Ramadan tent

Batelco, as part of its commitment to serve the community, has sponsored a number of Ramadan events including the Ramadan tent at the Sofitel Bahrain Thalassa Sea & Spa.

Batelco Group general manager corporate affairs Ahmed Al Janahi said that company was pleased to align itself with the luxury hotel by supporting the Sofitel Bahrain Thalassa Sea & Spa luxury Ramadan tent.
