To market, to market

I find those who trumpet their presence/cause/life incredibly annoying. You know, the sort who will always make it a point to "check in" to the "business lounge" (or "first- class lounge) at the airport - and announce their achievement on Facebook - because that lends them prestige. like saying "I've arrived, look at me, pretty please". Or the sort who accost you at a party and start talking about what a HUGE hit his/her last dinner bash was. Or how so-and-so Famous Person is his/her bestie. Worse, imagine being boxed into a corner by someone's gushing mother/father/spouse/sibling/BFF and given an unsolicited lowdown on his/her greatness. But then, if you look at it very objectively, there's not much you can do in this age of Instagram followers - except follow the lead. Market yourself. Make a noise; a song and dance. Create a flutter. For every five people - like me - who get annoyed with you, there will be five more who may take you at your word. I choose to be subjective and stick to my stand - but let's hear it from self-marketers themselves about how they go about their business.
What's good for you and what isn't - healthwise? Every day, there's a new theory. Drink lots of water. No, hold it, don't drink too much water. Go the raw way with veggies. No, actually cook veggies instead, better by far. And so on. We give you six health myths that were waiting to be busted (sample: eggs are not bad for heart health... Yay!). Designer Masaba Gupta, daughter of Viv Richards and Neena Gupta, opens up about her personal style. Bollywood gives us the biggest duds of 2016, while Travel takes us cycling in the Danish capital of Copenhagen. Oh, and meet a woman who eats ice-cream for a living.
All this and much more.
