It happens to me every time I go on vacation, and then return "home" (wherever that might be, at any given point of my somewhat peripatetic life). Post-travel blues. So what if the place I'd just been to doesn't really qualify as being one of the top spots according to Lonely Planet or tripadvisor.com or wknd. magazine? It's probably the prospect of coming back to routine, predictability and (lest we forget) work. When I was in school, and we had holidays, I would feel miserable going back to school even if we hadn't travelled out of town and I'd been basically holed up at home.
