Calling all beauty aficionados! Kuwaiti make-up and beauty sensation Sondos Al Qattan - who is also a leading regional beauty blogger - is heading to Dubai to hold her first ever Master Class with Shiseido on Wednesday, March 23, from 7.15-8.15pm at Paris Gallery in Dubai Mall.
Sondos will use the session to reveal her most intimate beauty secrets as well as her favourite products. Visitors will be able to learn valuable make-up tips while she demonstrates how to use the latest collection of Shiseido make-up products as well.
There is also the chance to be her model on the day! To participate, simply repost Sondos' picture from the Shiseido Middle East Facebook page with the necessary tags.
Egg-cellent stuff
Who's up for adding a little egg-citement to your Easter? From March 24-27, Biryani Pot is offering the chance to win cracking prizes throughout the Easter week. A number of their clay pots will be hand-painted with Easter eggs and secretly distributed to all their outlets. Diners who discover the hidden adornment under their Biryani Pot will win an egg-cellent prize! There will also be a chance for one lucky winner to win a super prize - ie, a Dh500 voucher for Biryani Pot and a day out for four to Ferrari World.

Lights out!
Celebrate Earth Hour on Saturday, March 19, with your partner, friends or family with a candlelight dinner in a stunning setting at The Farm from 7.30-8.30pm. And when we say stunning, we mean it - because The Farm is surrounded by beautiful themed gardens and naturally landscaped lakes unlike any other we've seen around town. What better place to be when the lights go out?
For reservations, guests can call 04-3925660 or book online at www.thefarmdubai.com
Fuss-free food for little ones
Adults love Happy Hour - but it's not something you would take your kids too. But now, there's a fun Happy Hour for kids aged 12 and under every Thursday between 3-6pm, at PI. Dubai at Dubai Mall, with plenty of fresh, healthy drinks absolutely free for the little ones!
What's more, if mealtimes usually involve a lot of cajoling and threatening on your part because the kids are refusing to eat, the restaurant - which recently launched its own children's menu - is promising to take care of what they call 'the terror of mealtimes' too. From mini pizzas to lasagna squares, potato croquettes to calzone bites, there is something for every kid here - even a baby purée of the day.

Bring the salon home
No time to visit the salon? We're willing to bet way too many women know what that feels like.
Between juggling corporate meetings and the kids' playdates, finding time for yourself can feel like yet another chore. If that's your story, then perhaps you'd like to check out Blowout&Go, an express service aimed at busy women on the run. These guys are trained stylists that will come to your home, hotel or office, and provide both makeup and hair styling services (cuts and colouring not included) - any day of the week (that's right!), with bookings available between 8am to 9pm.
Visit www.blowoutandgo.ae for more info.
Make a splash!
If water sports are your thing, then make sure you save the date! Yas Marina on Yas Island will play host to their annual water-themed event 'Splash' on April 8, with a host of offshore and onshore activities, including donut rides, stand-up paddle boarding, sailing and kayaking, as well as extreme water sports such as wakeboarding and wakesurfing.
Whether you're a water sports fanatic or a complete novice, organisers are promising entertainment for all ages - from taster sailing sessions (first 10 bookings are complimentary, and children under 16 sail for free) to relaxing 45-minute mangrove tours around the island.
The entire event will be supervised by qualified instructors and lifeguards, and necessary safety equipment will be provided. There are changing facilities with showers on site, so visitors can dry off after the activities before heading to the restaurants nearby. No pre-booking needed and visitors can register for all water sports upon arrival. Open from 12pm until 6pm.
Visit www.yasmarina.ae/events for more info.
