Partly cloudy sky forecast today

The weather in the UAE will continue to be partly cloudy in some regions today, as increasing amounts of clouds form on the eastern and southern regions, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

Winds are expected to be moderate in general, and may kick up dust and sand in some inland open areas, causing low visibility at times, with a chance of towering clouds according to the national forecaster’ statement.

Winds will be north-easterly, south-easterly at a speed of 10–20km/hour in the morning and the night, and could become north-easterly, north-westerly blowing at a speed of 16–38km/hour during the afternoon and evening, and may reach 50km/hour at times over sea and open lands.

Sea conditions will be moderate in general, with waves onshore reaching two feet and offshore reaching five feet.

Maximum and minimum temperatures expected by the NCMS for today are: Abu Dhabi 45, 33 degrees Celsius; Dubai 44, 35; Sharjah 45, 33; Ajman 45, 32; Umm Al Qaiwain 44, 32; Ras Al Khaimah 45, 33; Fujairah 34, 30; Al Ain 45, 34; Liwa 46, 32; Ruwais 41, 32; Delma 41, 33, Al Sela’a 42, 32, Greater Tunb island 38, 32; Lesser Tunb island 38, 32; Abu Musa island 38, 32.

NCMS expect the maximum and minimum relative humidity rate to be as follows: Abu Dhabi 65, 20 per cent; Dubai 55, 20 per cent; Sharjah 55, 25 per cent.

In other areas of the country, the maximum relative humidity rate is expected to reach as high as 85 per cent in Fujairah and Abu Musa Island, while the minimum rate could get as low as 20 per cent in Al Ain and Liwa.
