Anyone who knows anything about the United Arab Emirates knows it is on a constant quest for excellence.
It is an approach that goes all the way to the top, driven by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
Taking to social media on Friday, the visionary leader posted a video of encouragement under the hashtag 'Flashes of Leadership'.
In it, he shared, "I tell my team, in the race for excellence, there is no finishing line. And this statement is becoming truer every day."
From the successful launch of the UAE's Hope Probe to its top rankings in several world indexes, the young Arab nation has made extraordinary leaps and bounds to get to where it is today — and, as the Dubai Ruler has stated in the past, it has no plans to slow down now.
"When we promise, we deliver," said Sheikh Mohammed. "We all have dreams, but only a leader can change dreams to reality."
Of course, with great ambitions come great risks. But the Dubai Ruler offers a word of wisdom here too.
"We all take risks in life," he said. "But do you know what is the biggest risk? Not taking risks at all."
