Abu Dhabi Police on Thursday warned drivers against distracted driving during foggy weather.

The UAE today witnessed dense fog formations across the emirates for the third time this week.


The authority urged motorists to be cautious while driving in low visibility and during high winds and dust.

"Please do not be distracted by taking any videos or using your phone," it said in a post published on Twitter.

The fine for drivers who engage in such activities while behind the wheel in the Capital is Dh800. Motorists will also be given four black points.
