The UAE leaders came together in Abu Dhabi to pay their respects to Emirati martyrs on Saturday.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi of Sharjah; Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi of Ajman; Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi of Fujairah; Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla of Umm Al Quwain; and Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi of Ras Al Khaimah marked Commemoration Day at Wahat Al Karama. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and other crown princes and sheikhs were also present.
Wahat Al Karama is Abu Dhabi's national and cultural landmark that commemorates the sacrifices and heroic deeds of the UAE martyrs while defending and protecting their homeland. The leaders said the Emirati martyrs' memory will remain indelible in the people's consciousness. Elsewhere across the country, ministries, schools and offices observed a minute's silence to honour the martyrs
