Kalba Public Library will reopen and operate at full capacity from tomorrow, the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has announced. The library had been closed for the past months in line with the UAE's precautionary procedures to curb the spread of Covid-19.
From August 3, the library will remain open to the public from 8am to 8pm with strict safety measures in place as it welcomes book lovers, research students, academia, and other visitors. The safe environment now offers library users the opportunity to utilise the many services and amenities available at the cultural facility.

"Readers and lovers of books and creativity are welcome to once again visit the Kalba Public Library where they can enjoy its wide selection of inclusive titles to bolster knowledge. The reopening is a testament to the concerted efforts of SPL in reinforcing the significance of cultural offerings in the wake of the pandemic," said Eman Bushlaibi, Director of Sharjah Public Libraries (SPL).

She called on all library users to visit the Kalba library by adhering to the relevant preventative and safety protocols to ensure their safety as well as that of the other visitors and library staff.
