Sharjah Police on Wednesday issued an advisory for pedestrians in the emirate, warning them about pickpockets.

"Remain vigilant for those spitting or sneezing on your clothes. This means you are about to be pickpocketed," the police warned on their social media handles.

The police posted an image which showed a man spitting on the shirt of another man, while the former's accomplice picks the pocket of the distracted pedestrian.
