The operations room of Sharjah Police received a call on Wednesday that an accident had taken place in a residential building in Al Yarmook area in Sharjah.
A team of police personnel and ambulance was dispatched to the site, where they found that the roof of the bedroom had collapsed when the mother, 30, and her daughters were in the room, at around 2pm.
Luckily, the roof collapsed on one side of the room, and not on the family.
The mother suffered fractures on her leg, and will have to undergo operation. One of the daughters, 4, was hurt in her head and was bleeding, while the other received minor injuries.
Investigations are on to ascertain the cause of the accident.
