Dubai Land Department (DLD) has reported a successful participation at the recently concluded Dubai Property Show, which was held in Mumbai, India. Taking a major stand at the exhibition, which ran from November 6 until November 8 in Mumbai, DLD reported a large number of visitors and investors inquiring about the opportunities to invest in Dubai's burgeoning real estate market.
DLD's participation and strategic partnership with Dubai Property Show is listed under the Tarweej initiative, which was launched by the Investment Management and Promotion Centre, the investment arm of DLD.
The main purpose of the arrangement is to raise public awareness worldwide on the investment environment in Dubai. The partnership will do this by promoting Dubai and the UAE's real estate market through focusing on its sustainability, growth and economic diversity. It will be using the format of the popular Dubai Property Show to spread this information, with Sumansa Exhibitions organizing the exhibition in key markets abroad.
"The Dubai Property Show was the perfect opportunity for us to promote Dubai's environment for real estate investment," said Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant Director General and Head of Investment Management and Promotion Center, DLD.
"India represents an extremely important market for us through its strong ties to Dubai and the fact that there currently already more than 28,000 Indian customers who have invested in more than Dh100 billon into Dubai's real estate market; a figure which sees them at first place on the list of most investor nationalities by expenditure," she added.
The Dubai Property Show hosts more than 33 companies engaged in real estate development in the emirates. Exhibitors at the event display their various projects and services, which include some of the finest examples of luxury real estate projects in the UAE.
DLD aims to repeat its successful formula of grouping developers and sales agents, representatives of financial institutions, government departments and those working in the fields of architecture, interior design and other relevant sector areas, all under one umbrella in order to showcase its ability to provide an all-encompassing array of services.
