Dubai - The Dubai Ruler wants the government to organise recognition events to acknowledge the contribution of women employees.

On the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, has urged all government departments and ministers to honour their women employees and officials.
Taking to microblogging site - Twitter - Sheikh Mohammed praised Emirati women and their participation in the development of the country, for raising families and being an overall driving force in the development of society.

In another tweet, he thanked women employees in his team for their contribution, and urged ministers and directors in the government to celebrate their women officials by organising a recognition event - to acknowledge their contributions.
