Man jailed for stealing granny's safe

Sharjah - Two Georgians among the convicts infiltrated into the country after they were deported earlier, the police said.

An unemployed Emirati stole his grandmother's safe containing jewellery and cash with the help of four of his friends in Khor Fakkan. A criminal court has sentenced the five men, including three Emiratis, to two years in jail for the crime.

Two of the Emirati convicts were wanted by different police departments in the country. The grandson, 27-year-old K.M.R., and his friends stole the safe from his uncle's house.
