Fog in UAE: Police issue warning after accident causes traffic jam

The RTA issued an advisory asking motorists to be safe on the roads.

Heavy fog and poor visibility on has resulted in the slow movement of traffic in different parts of UAE on Sunday morning.
Dubai Police took to Twitter to report an accident on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road towards Abu Dhabi.

They have also suggested drivers to drive carefully and find alternative routes wherever possible.
In another tweet, the police said due to fog trucks are being prevented from crossing into Abu Dhabi until further notice.

Abu Dhabi Police have also reminded motorists to reduce their speed and not to use high-beam lights, while the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai also urged residents to drive safely.
